The campaign goes to the office
I have been promoting my "Run For Ellenor" fundraiser at work - my little sign is beginning to draw attention. (The sign says "Please ask Eric about his marathon fundraiser.")
There have been a number of recent additions to the Honor Roll - many thanks!
Since I emailed friends on July 6 I have received word of 20 donations in Ellenor's name to either the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Soceity. I estimate this represents $820. (7 people gave directly to the ACS and didn't tell me how much they gave; I estimated $25 each).
I just did some quick analysis of the contributors. 7 are former work colleagues (some from 20 years ago), 3 are people I currently work with at Health Care Service Corp (Blue Cross Blue Shield), 3 are family, and 6 are friends. 6 of the people I have infrequent contact with; it was especially gratifying to hear from these folks.
My goal is to raise money for charity in Ellenor's name. The causes were chosen by Ellenor's family: the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Please join my team by giving directly (follow the hyperlinks below) or sending me a check -- I will manage the donation. In either case, let me know that you are contributing and I will add you to the Honor Roll.
